I work for
Agilent
Technologies,
in their central research
labs
(Agilent
Laboratories). I help design instruments
for chemical analyses. That means that I do
things like this:
- Write software
- Do math
- Drill holes in metal
- Play with lots of other fun things
Much of my work has focused on
time-of-flight mass spectrometry. Here's a
fun demo illustrating the principals of
TOFMS.

in
Redwood Symphony and often in a number

world-premier recording of this piece.

I've played piano since I was six years
old. I don't have time to practice as much
as I used to, but sometimes I do play in
public. I can be heard playing some of the
simpler keyboard parts in
Redwood Symphony when I'm not needed on
oboe, and I used to accompany the
Sunnyvale Singers when their regular
pianist wasn't available.
